Part of a commitment to support travel agents and ensure Australian travel standards are elevated, AFTA will be helping agents complete their ATAS accreditation application as well as promoting the benefits of being ATAS accredited.

“We are keen to hear from members and seek their views on industry issues and at the same time discuss how to get the most out of their ATAS accreditation,” AFTA General Manager Gary O’Riordan said.

“ATAS is delivering on its promise as it continues to market and promote accredited agents to the Australian consumer.”

The road trip, which is sponsored by Avis, was launched at Anywhere Travel in Kingsford, NSW, a long-standing member of AFTA and an existing accredited ATAS participant.

“I am proud to be ATAS accredited and I fully support the new scheme that AFTA has implemented. My agency has been a long time member of AFTA and I was delighted to host the launch as AFTA goes on the road,” said Barbara Whitten, Owner Anywhere Travel.

Victorian travel agents will be the first to welcome the road trip, which began today.
