Destination Gold Coast is giving away a trip to two lucky travel advisors

Southeast Queensland’s holiday isle saw over $1 billion in new investment during the pandemic and is eager to show it off.

The Gold Coast is calling to two lucky travel advisors.

Destination Gold Coast is giving away a trip to the Queensland holiday isle to two lucky travel advisors – one from Australia and one from New Zealand.

Each winner, and one travel companion, will receive a four-night stay at Hilton Surfers Paradise in a King Deluxe Room, with breakfast daily, along with return Con-X-ion coach transfers from either Gold Coast or Brisbane Airport, plus a $250 Experience Oz gift card to spend on a variety of attractions and activities during their stay.

Winners will also be assisted with a $500 Qantas flight credit towards airfares to Queensland, with the prize able to be taken outside of school holiday periods until 30 June 2024.

There are also five supplementary prizes consisting of a $100 gift card which will be awarded to five runners-up from each country.

To be in the running for the top prize, entrants must be a registered travel advisor or trade support team member who actively sells holidays to the Gold Coast.

Hilton Surfers Paradise will be the winner's home for four luxurious nights.

To enter, agents need to complete an entry form and describe in 50 words or less what they would include in their ultimate Gold Coast getaway.

Destination Gold Coast’s Interim Chief Operating Officer, Rachel Hancock, said the entry task may prove difficult as the city saw over $1 billion in private and public investment during the pandemic alone to develop exciting new world-first attractions across the city.

“Destination Gold Coast remains committed to our travel agent and trade partners across Australia and New Zealand,” Hancock said.

“As Australia’s Favourite Playground, we know that many consumers have a good understanding of much of our legacy experiences and attractions. But as the Gold Coast continues to evolve, so does our storytelling.

“So, we want to ensure our trade partners join us on this journey and are in the best position to share our new stories with their customers.
