The ‘Dubai Expert’ platform consists of a series of webinars, beginning with an initial ‘Rediscover Dubai’ session taking place on 23 May at either 8:30am or midday AEST. The 30-minute session will be followed by a short interactive Q&A session and is being facilitated by Destination Webinars.

Hosted by Dubai guru Julie King, attendees will be brought up to speed with the latest developments from Dubai in the past few years, including new hotels, attractions, tours, transportation and connectivity, along with the city’s ancient customs and traditions.

Dubai has established itself as a beacon for innovation and exorbitant luxury, with massive investments being made into all facets of society including tourism, which has seen some of the world’s leading theme park and attraction brands lured to the city, such as Legoland and Dreamworks Motiongate.

And of course, don't forget there's a snow in the Dubai desert.

The city has also developed a reputation as a world leader in sustainability with 3D printed skyscrapers being built in the ever-expanding city, WiFi-enabled trees, Blockchain technology securing cyberspace and even the field of robotics, which sees machines performing minor surgical procedures in the city’s hospitals.

Dubai’s police force zoom around on flying motorcycles, there’s a driverless taxi services and in the near future, taxi drones will take to the skies above the city, while a hyperloop mass transport system is also in development which will enable you to make the 140-kilometre trip to Abu Dhabi is just 12 minutes, travelling at up to 1,000kph.

For agents interested but unable to attend either session, a recording will be available after the event and distributed to those registered.

Further webinars will be delivered as part of the Dubai Tourism Travel Trade education program, which will continue to be provided by Julie King and Associates.

Agents can also register for face-to-face training which will be developed and made available in the near future.
