FCTG Independent will bring its global agent network together in Santiago next year to network, share ideas and enjoy product updates and workshop at its first global conference.
The event, taking place from 1-4 May 2024, will bring together more than 500 independent travel agency owners and mobile advisors from Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada and South Africa to meet in the Chilean capital along with staff and sponsors for a supplier expo, plenary sessions and opportunities to explore the city’s highlights.
VIDEO: Here’s how the FCTG Independent Global Conference destination was revealed.
While the conference is the first formal gathering for the group, its top 50 achievers from around the world are set to enjoy the fruits of their labour on FCTG Independent’s maiden Independent Icons trip, which will see the group take over Uniworld River Cruises’ luxurious S.S. Beatrice for an exclusive four-night charter from Budapest to Vienna
The adventure along the Danube River will be filled with shore excursions, local entertainment, outstanding dining and networking opportunities for Flight Centre’s Independent network.
FCTG Independent and Luxury Divisions Global Managing Director, Danielle Galloway, said she cannot wait to bring the entire group together for the division’s first independent conference.
“As the only truly global independent network, we believe the opportunity to bring everyone together is too special to pass up,” Galloway said.
“There is so much that the travel entrepreneurs in our network can gain from connecting with their peers in other nations. Having one conference for all markets also opens new opportunities for our valued supplier partners.
“Our team are hard at work planning an exceptional program and we can’t wait to welcome everyone to Santiago in 2024.”
FCTG Independent Australian Managing Director, Nick Queale, said being able to host a global conference was a major milestone for the division.
“It's a testament to the strength and unity of our global network,” Queale said.
“We're excited to see the exchange of ideas and knowledge that will take place at this conference, and we look forward to strengthening our bonds with our international partners and colleagues in beautiful Santiago.”
