Flight Centre rolls out the recruitment rug for travel specialists

The famous brand is looking to boost its back-of-house workforce with people eager to focus on a particular specialisation.

Flight Centre is looking for its next crop of specialists.

Travel experts from both within the industry and externally are being courted by Flight Centre to consider taking the next step in their careers by joining its specialist network.

Next Wednesday 26 July at 5pm, the company will host an info night on Zoom, inviting those interested to hear from Flight Centre Specialist leaders about what it is like working in specialist areas such as:

  • Flight Centre Business Travel (FCBT)
  • First and Business
  • Groups
  • Complex Air
  • Corporate Benefits

Flight Centre Specialists General Manager, Cameron Harris, said the division was one of the fastest growing sectors within the company.

“The exciting future of the Flight Centre brand focuses on three key areas, the shop network, online and our Flight Centre specialist models,” Harris said.

“This allows us to focus on five of the fastest growing travel segments: Flight Centre Business Travel for our small to medium corporate customers; First and Business for our luxury/premium customers; Groups, Complex Air (round the world travel) [and] Corporate Benefits (employee benefits travel programs).”

Harris added that people can still be part of the famous red and white brand but in a capacity that allows them to focus on their passion.

“Previously, people joining Flight Centre came in through our Store network. But now we can give experienced people the opportunity to join our great brand via our Specialists model, which offers a back-of-house working environment combined with remote working opportunities.

“We’re looking to educate people on our models and the opportunities that now exists within our exciting new framework. The Specialists model will work as a great brightness of future for people in our shop network as they look to further their career in their chosen specialisation.”
