Meet the NTIA winner: REBECCA KNOWLES

Is it possible to leave the travel industry? Probably not, if you’re anything like Flight Centre’s NTIA finalist Rebecca Knowles, who, if she wasn’t a travel agent would still be working in travel.

WHAT CAN YOU DO FOR YOUR CLIENTS THAT THE INTERNET CAN’T?

Smile, show I care and be able to talk face to face with them. And help them when they need help the most, especially in emergency situations.

WHERE’S THE NEXT ‘HOT’ DESTINATION?

Japan! It has a mixture of rich culture, amazing scenery, diverse food, and some of the best snow. This is a great place for a mixed holiday experience and perfect for all types of travellers.

WHAT’S YOUR BEST TRAVEL TIP?

Always take as carry-on, an overnight bag with essentials for 24 hours - the time you don't take it, is the time you will need it!

WHAT ARE THE BEST AND WORST PARTS OF YOUR JOB?

Best - Seeing holiday dreams come true and being a part of the amazing journey.

Worst - Not being able to go on all the amazing holidays I book for my clients.

IF YOU WEREN’T A TRAVEL AGENT, WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING?

Definitely working in travel, either for an airline, hotel chain or tour company and travelling the world as much as can.
