Travel Counsellors hit the high seas of SE Asia

So where exactly did this group of agents go?

A group of Travel Counsellors agents from all over Australia recently came together to experience the wonders of South East Asia on a seven night cruise aboard Royal Caribbean’s MS Mariner of the Seas.

Travel Counsellors agents Lara Burgermeister, Sharon Wood, Trish Hollis, Suzanne Watson, Suzie Griffiths, Nadine New, Kim Rudd and Liz Bridges joined Kerryn Murphy from Travel Counsellors Head Office and Michael Stephenson from Royal Caribbean aboard the luxury cruise ship after flying to Singapore with Scoot.

Starting in Singapore, the luxury ship made its way to Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City before returning back to Singapore. Apart from taking the opportunity to enjoy beautiful ocean views, the group were able to explore the impressive ship, including the 15 decks, 10 pools and whirlpools, and 17 bars, clubs and lounges aboard. With the MS Mariner of the Seas possessing everything from a basketball court, to an ice-skating rink and mini-golf course, the Travel Counsellors team were never short of something fun to do.

Lara Burgermeister relished the opportunity to experience cruising with Royal Caribbean. “I can definitely see why cruising is really popular with Australian travellers. There’s such a variety of experiences to be had on board – from relaxing at a day spa to enjoying fine wine at one of the bars, feasting on incredible food at one of the top quality restaurants or kicking back in a pool or spa, there’s something for everyone aboard the MS Mariner of the Seas,” Lara comments, adding that spending time in Bangkok, Singapore and Ho Chi Minh City was also a highlight of the trip.

David Hughes, Managing Director of Travel Counsellors Australia believes that cruising will continue to be popular in the Australian market. “At Travel Counsellors we believe that staying on top of the latest travel trends is incredibly important for our agents. That is why we encourage and support our agents to go on famil trips like this. Cruising is definitely a big market for Travel Counsellors right now, so having eight of our agents experiencing a cruise such as this first-hand means that we have eight experts to not only sell cruising to their clients, but assist other agents with any questions they may have about the Royal Caribbean experience,” comments David.
