FRESH FACES: Beyond Travel’s Valissa Seeto

VALISSA SEETO, new sales and marketing coordinator for Beyond Travel, tells us where she’s just been and the contrast to Australia she can’t wait to get to next.

Where is the last place you travelled and where are you going next?

I travelled to Hawaii in February this year.

I’m planning my next trip to Scandinavia, one of the hottest regions for travel at the moment. I can’t wait to see the fjords in Norway - such a contrast to the natural beauty here in Australia.

Besides your passport, what’s one thing you always take with you on your travels?

My phone, to capture my memories and experiences - and to entice family and friends to follow in my footsteps and see this amazing world.

Why did you move to this role?

The Beyond Travel team is highly respected in the travel and tourism industry and the company has a strong strategic plan to continue growing and developing further over the next few years.

I am looking forward to being a part of that growth and promoting Beyond Travel’s unique destinations and cruising products.

Tell us something people might not know about Beyond Travel?

Beyond Travel is a leading destination specialist for travel to Croatia, Eastern Europe, Russia, Scandinavia, India and Sri Lanka.

Solo travellers can obtain great value on our Russian cruises because many ships have dedicated single cabins with no single supplement charges.

It is also fully Australian owned and operated with the headquarters based in Sydney.

What’s the key to a successful tour operator/wholesaler?

I think a successful tour wholesaler needs to have a team of experienced experts who are passionate about providing holidays to travellers that are beyond the ordinary and leave them with unforgettable memories.

What’s your top travel tip?

Ask for advice from specialising experts! They can offer first-hand knowledge from personal experiences and with such a diverse team there will always be someone who knows the travel answer at Beyond Travel.
