What were the weirdest, most outrageous travel requests agents fielded in 2022?

These people walk among us...

Sometimes it's difficult not to laugh but we're all professionals...

We all know travel agents can move mountains, heavens and oceans for their clients but there are some things they just can’t do.

And amusingly, sometimes those very requests come from travellers who overestimate the skills of even the most capable agents out there.

TravelTalk has spoken to several Australian travel agents, who have shared some of the wackiest and most outrageous travel requests received in recent months.

'I want to travel around the world! But I only want to travel on trains and only in America, I don't want to go anywhere else.'

Sure, there’s an express service leaving tonight…pack your bags.

'Can we swim from our balcony cabin on a P&O cruise?'

Uh...just ask for the concierge to bring up the diving board. Try a cannonball...

Travel agents must cop head-scratchers like this nearly every day...

'I am an Australian passport holder and citizen. Do I need a passport to go to Tasmania?'

Only if you want to catch the train there too…

'Can I use my sister's passport to travel'

Might as well keep it in the family...but no...

'What wall adaptor do I need for Hamilton Island?'

Pretty sure they’re powered by sunshine…

'Can we ask The Ghan to stop if we see something we like and want to look at it?'

Timetables are soooo yesterday...

But hey, when in doubt, ask...but why would there be doubt???

'Can I book a flight through you to go from Brisbane City train station to Roma St train station?' (they are a 2 minute train ride apart).

What is it with train queries???

'When will Covid be finished?

I’m sure we’d all like to know that one…

'When does my passport expire?'

Let me just hack into your computer to find that out for you…

We’d love to hear yours, so head to Traveltalk’s Facebook page and leave a comment with your best stories.

Please don’t include client names though.
