As Australians flee the winter and flock to Europe, Deliveroo is ready with open arms to console the crew left behind. Partnering with Zeus Street Greek, Deliveroo is offering customers the chance to a once in a lifetime “Fakecation”.
The food delivery service has recruited one of Australia’s top photoshop artists to assist customers who are feeling the cold and need a helping hand when it comes to summer-y social currency.
Customers who upload a picture of themselves, with a delicious pita from Zeus, to Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #pitatomissit have the opportunity to see their image professionally photoshopped onto a picturesque Greek island.
Instead of burning the hours browsing through your mates’ mediterranean Instagrams, allow Deliveroo to create some thumb stopping content of your own.
The offer will be available all week from Wednesday and will be shared via the Deliveroo_au social accounts. Ensure you upload your snaps to speedily outdo the Europe grams with an onslaught of your own pita escapades.
If you’re in dire need of some caption tips - refer to the below:
- Feta late than never
- What Athens in Greece, stays in Greece
- I walked across Greece in one day, boy do my feta hurt!
- I left a pita my heart in Europe
Joe Satari, Deliveroo Communications Manager: “We’re aware the European summer turns Instagram into a place of bitterness and envy - but this week, Deliveroo will ensure you don’t have to suffer through endless traveller grams without participating. Beat your FOMO by eating your weight in pitas and picture yourself in Greece (literally).”
Weird? Maybe. But if it’s the only thing that will get you through your Instagram feed, you do you boo.
