Christmas comes early for agents

Carnival Cruise Line has staged a series of events to support its valued travel trade partners.

It may be a few months early but travel agents have enjoyed some festive cheer thanks to a series of events staged by Carnival Cruise Line.

To celebrate their ‘Grinchmas in July’ sailings, Carnival treated 20 consultants to an escape in the Southern Highlands of New South Wales.

Dressed in their festive finest, agents boarded a specially themed bus for a ‘Christmas in July’ lunch, where the joy of the season was celebrated in style against the Highlands backdrop.

A second event saw 50 agents step aboard Carnival Splendor, which has been transformed into a winter wonderland during the Grinchmas promotion. Amid the twinkle of lights, the agents enjoyed holiday treats, a ship tour, festive lunch in the Gold Pearl restaurant and the presence of The Grinch.

Finally, Carnival's trade sales team embarked on a series of ‘Grinchmas’ themed blitzes, wearing their distinctive Christmas sweaters and handing out chocolates as they went.

Throughout July they visited more than 220 travel agent partners where they spread awareness for the ‘Grow The Grinch’s Heart’ campaign in support of the Sydney Children's Hospital Foundation.

"Our Grinchmas in July sailings have afforded us the unique opportunity to get our travel agents in on the festivities with these special events and show how Carnival brings joy to the seas, no matter the season,” said Mark Richards, National Sales Manager.

“In doing so, we've forged connections and memories, highlighted our dedication to trade partners and had a whole lot of fun along the way!”

Agents who enjoyed the festivities included those from Flight Centre, Helloworld, itravel and Travel Partners. Carnival’s ‘Grinchmas in July’ sailings will seen Carnival Splendor transformed into a winter wonderland until August 31.
