Fresh Faces: Oceania Cruises‘ Jason Worth

Jason Worth, vice president and general manager of Oceania Cruises, Australia and NZ, had sailed with the cruise line six times before taking up his new role. But what do people need to know about the company?

Where is the last place you travelled?

I hiked and did some mountain biking in Arches National Park in Utah and saw some incredible landscapes.

Where are you going next?

Work trips to Adelaide and then the United Kingdom.

Besides your passport, what’s one thing you always take with you on your travels?

Sunnies and a sense of adventure.

Why did you move to this role?

This is an exciting time to be part of Oceania. The brand resonates with Aussies and Kiwis, with a focus on cuisine and destination rich itineraries in a relaxed atmosphere.

Personally, Oceania has always been my favourite cruise brand having sailed six times on our smaller 684 passenger R-class shipsas well as our 1,250 passenger O-class ships in over eight years with the company.

Tell us something people might not know about the company?

A lot of people know about Oceania’s focus on cuisine, but the destinations are really exciting too.

We just launched our 2021 season, which includes 70 overnight stays and 15 new ports of call including those in Iceland, the Black Sea and Turkey.

What’s the main thing people should know about Oceania?

Oceania Cruises offers an unforgettable holiday with gourmet cuisine and exotic destinations while on elegant ships, and all at an incredible value.

What’s your top travel tip?

Try to be in the moment, really savour the time you are on holiday.
