Norwegian Cruise Line University has wrapped up for its first year of study, with graduating travel agents presented with their accreditations for completing three semesters of study to upskill on the cruise line’s offerings.
NCLU was split over three semesters, each focusing on a different destination served by Norwegian Cruise Line – Asia, The Americas and Europe.
Special prizes were also awarded to lucky participants, including Tanya Franklin from The Travel Brokers New Zealand who won a $5,000 shopping spree. Semester winners of a cruise draw in the focus destination were won by Lisa Crawford from House of Travel Lower Hutt (Asia); Andrea Friend from TravelManagers Australia (Americas) and Flynn Cox from Flight Centre Botany New Zealand (Europe).
“As part of our Partners First philosophy we are dedicated to equip trade partners with the tools they need for continued success,” said Norwegian Cruise Line Sales Director AUNZ, Damian Borg.
“We appreciate that agents are busier than ever, so we were really pleased with the number of trade partners who committed to learning with us over the course of this year and earned themselves a place on our 2023 Honour Roll.”
The course saw many of its Partners First members engage with the latest products and experiences available across the growing line, with many new students enrolling to take the course, improve their selling tools and access a range of marketing materials including social tiles and EDMs that can be distributed to clients.
Graduates have now received a pack containing a personalised ‘Class of 2023’ certificate, a gift voucher to spend at the Partners First Rewards store, mini speaker, a graduation teddy bear and 20 points towards their CLIA Australasia accreditation.
The course has been well received by many graduates who shared their appreciation on the course flexibility and content.
"Fantastic program! I have booked four NCL bookings during/since the program. Previously, I had only ever booked one. New knowledge helped me to 'Think NCL' for INTL cruises and pass knowledge to my colleagues too. Thinking NCL for my honeymoon,” said Emily Jones from Helloworld Orion Springfield.
