Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic has joined with Scenic Group Founder and Chairman, Glen Moroney, to see off Scenic Eclipse II as it departed from the 3.Maj shipyard bound for its maiden voyage.
Also in attendance at the ceremony was MKM Yachts Managing Director, Sasa Cokljat, and many of the shipyard workers which contributed to the construction of Scenic’s second luxury yacht.
Nearly identical to her slightly older sister ship, Scenic Eclipse II has now wound its way around the Italian coastline and crossed the Mediterranean to the Portuguese port of Lisbon, from where it will begin its maiden voyage – an 11-day Iberian Discovery sailing to Barcelona on Thursday 13 April.
Scenic Eclipse II will be formally christened at a ceremony in Malaga on 3 June 2023, with NASA Scientist Dr Kathy Sullivan serving as the ship’s Godmother.

After successfully completing its sea trials recently, the 114-suite luxury yacht, Scenic Eclipse II will spend its inaugural season cruising the Mediterranean, Iceland and Scotland before repositioning to the Caribbean and Antarctica, with the latter season also set to see the ship enter Sydney Harbour for the first time in 2024.
Scenic Eclipse II will also spend time in 2024 in the Kimberley, with an 11-day voyage exploring Australia’s remote northwest departing on 29 June 2024.
