A hotel in eastern China has taken the health and wellness experience to a new (and weird) level by fusing two elements - the hot spring and hot pot - and dropping guests right into it.
Hot springs are long said to hold therapeutic benefits to bathers, while the hot pot - a popular Chinese dish - is thought to drive away the winter blues.
So with Chinese New Year just around the corner (the first week of February), the First World Hotel in Hangzhou is inviting travellers to kick off the new year in good health by taking a dip into a giant copper pot filled with common hotpot ingredients like chilli peppers, lime, corn and lettuce, AFP reported.
Though from these images - where near-naked bathers can be seen eating meat from giant skewers whilst chugging on what appears to be beer, and even spirits - it looks like the hotel might attract as many party animals as it does H&W tourists.
The initiative is part of an overall push by the tourist town of Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, to attract more tourists.
