If escape rooms weren’t already challenging enough, a ski resort in France will open a version of the popular adventure game in a cable car suspended several hundreds of metres above the ground.
Set to become the highest altitude escape room in the world, the attraction will open on 27 March at Val Thorens, which was voted World’s Best Ski Resort at the 2017 World Ski Awards.
Launching before the ski season closes, the ‘Escape Game Caron’ is expected to be a major attraction for the resort’s springtime visitors until its closure on 8 May.
According to AFP-Relaxnews, the game starts at the foot of the Caron cable car, and involves solving a mystery as part of an immersive adventure story. Five players have a maximum of one hour to solve the puzzles in order to escape.
Developed by the Val Thorens Tourist Office and ski lift company SETAM, the game is free but players need to register with the Tourist Office, AFP-Relaxnews reported.
With several sessions per week, the games will take place after the ski lifts have closed for the day.
Now that’s what we call après ski.
