Get Steven Jacob's insider tips to Vanuatu + more on new site

(VTO) has launched a practical trade micro-site, designed specifically to educate and inform travel agents about the destination.

The site also features the newly launched online training, powered by “Your Workshops”, where agents who complete the training to become a Vanuatu specialist are given the chance to win a place on a famil trip at the end of the year.

In a move to add more colour and character to the usual format of a trade site, the VTO has partnered with passionate Vanuatu advocate, Channel Nine TODAY show presenter, Steven Jacobs. The site will feature Steven’s firsthand inspirational Vanuatu travel experiences and tips.

Steven holidays regularly in Vanuatu with his family and offers advice such as the best places to stay, his favourite soft adventure activities and where to find the tastiest cuisine.

The site will also list some great selling tips and fast facts on Vanuatu, in order to help agents best understand and sell the destination more effectively to their clients.

The site will be regularly updated with details on trade events, famils and expos with an easy registration function.

Those interested in self-famils will find packages from different properties as well as Air Vanuatu’s $50 agent fare (excluding taxes) departing from Sydney or Brisbane.

VTO’s Australian Representative, Anne Morris, said the microsite promises to be an effective selling tool for agents providing them with the most relevant and current destination information to help them reap results.

“Not only can agents access downloadable brochures, maps and images from the site it also hosts our new online training program, powered by “Your Workshops”, which enables agents to research Vanuatu thoroughly and then complete their training all in the one online space,” Ms Morris said.

Agents are encouraged to login and register on the site to receive targeted updates about Vanuatu including information about famils and special agent rates.

All agents who complete the training modules by the beginning of August, will go into the draw to win a place on a 2014 famil, and experience the destination including the islands of Efate, Tanna and Santo first-hand.
