After many years under Hilton management, Accor’s Pullman brand has taken control of one of Phuket’s most popular beach resorts and will reopen under new branding next month.
Soon to be known as Pullman Phuket Arcadia Karon Beach Resort, the 75-acre resort will be progressively renovated over the next two years to bring it in line with Pullman’s brand standards which include immersive art and design, technology and wellbeing.
Once complete, Pullman Phuket Arcadia will feature 662 rooms and suites overlooking either carefully landscaped gardens or the Andaman Sea, with guests able to choose from three swimming pools, floodlit tennis courts and a fitness centre to wile away their time in-house.
Under its new management, the hotel will introduce a range of new experiences aimed at families and guests staying for conferences and conventions, including a revitalised kids club with a packed daily schedule full of activities and adventures.
Eight restaurants will make up the dining offering at Pullman Phuket Arcadia, ranging from a casual beach club, a relaxed coffee shop, themed buffets or an elegant Thai restaurant serving fresh seafood and specialty cocktails.
Accor CEO Southeast Asia, Japan & South Korea, Garth Simmons, said Pullman is a pioneering travel brand with 150 years of history.
“Pullman Phuket Arcadia Karon Beach Resort will undoubtedly become a dynamic and stylish destination for energising travellers and new entrepreneurs with its unsurpassed seafront setting, vibrant facilities, and distinctive dining concepts," Simmons said.
Pullman Phuket Arcadia Karon Beach Resort will become the third operating under Accor’s luxury brand in the popular Thai resort town, alongside Pullman Panwa Beach Resort and Pullman Arcadia Naithon Beach.
