Disneyland California will open the doors early next year to a transformed new hotel experience for guests themed on its world famous collection of Pixar films.
The property formerly known as the Paradise Pier Hotel will reopen on 30 January 2024 as the new Pixar Place Hotel, with characters from Toy Story, The Incredibles, Cars, Finding Nemo and many more all likely to be prominently featured throughout guest rooms and public spaces.
Disney says the hotel will reflect the inspiration and humour that goes into every Pixar film, while celebrating the artistic process that goes into each one.
After being greeted by Pixar’s famous lamp icon balancing atop its ball, guests will encounter various artistic elements from Pixar films in a variety of ways, such as a mobile of characters floating high above depicted in various stages of design.
Elsewhere in the lobby, guests can see early sketches of Pixar characters in colour schemes that never made it to the screen and can follow a storyboard down a hallway from concept to completion.
Rooms themselves will feature stills on the headboards from classic Pixar movies with throw pillows reminiscent of the Pixar Lamp, while other decorations will include stuffed toys and colour schemes ascending from cool to warm.
