Flight Centre group unveils Phuket hotel; Bali, Fiji, Maldives up next

Another hotel for Flight Centre’s BHMA, this time in Thailand

Less than a week after it launched its first property in Vietnam, Flight Centre’s hotel and accommodation management business BHMA has announced a new management deal in Thailand.

Marking its first foray in Phuket, BHMA will operate the X2 Vibe Phuket Patong as the group continues its Southeast Asian expansion.

“Phuket is an extremely popular travel destination and one of the main growth destinations for FCTG’s expansion strategy,” BHMA managing director Kent Davidson said.

This property is a natural fit for the X2 Vibe brand and for BHMA group.”

Located close to Patong beach, the hotel offers 131 modern rooms and five villas, as well as a restaurant and bar, swimming pool, fitness centre, boutique shop, meeting facilities and more.

With the announcement, BHMA’s X2 Vibe hotel portfolio has grown to include seven properties, and 27 locations across the X2 Resorts, X2 Vibe Hotels and Away Resorts brands.

But it doesn’t intend to stop there, as it casts its eye on other popular destinations within the Flight Centre Travel Group.

“We are delighted to have now established a presence in Phuket, one of Flight Centre Travel Group’s most popular leisure markets,” he said.

“We are now working hard on entering other critical markets such as Bali, Fiji, Queensland and the Maldives.”

BHMA’s X2 Vibe Viet Tri Hotel is located 60 km from Hanoi’s Noi Bai International airport, in the northeast region of Vietnam.
