My view of the world (via Instagram of course) was recently shattered when I happened upon an Instagram shoot in one of Melbourne’s laneways.
The model was no model, just an average traveller in from Singapore for the week. But the production that was going into her ‘contemplative traveller’ shot (her words) was epic, involving portable lighting and her two cousins.
When I expressed my surprise at how much work it took, she countered with slight condescending/pitying disbelief that I could be so naive.
I may be naive, but this Maldives hotel isn't. They know just how to tap into the needs (boastful as they may be).
The Conrad Maldives Rangali Island (home to Ithaa Undersea Restaurant, the world’s first undersea restaurant made from only glass) now offers guests the services of an Instagram Butler.
The Instagram Butler, which the resort believes is the first of its kind in the world, will conduct tours around Rangali Island’s most photogenic locations, while offering advice on the best times of day to photograph and the optimal camera angles to use, the Maldives Insider reported.
The resort hopes guests will utilise the service in conjunction with specialised tours, thereby sharing the region’s stories to the world.
I guess this means you too can be posed to perfection as if you were a Kardashian. I might just stick with being gobsmacked about holidaying in the Maldives.
