In a move that would no doubt be a hit among children (and big kids alike), a soon-to-constructed hotel in Vietnam has included slides in its plans to carry guests between floors.
Part of the wellness-inspired hotel group Fusion, the 20-storey Fusion Suites Vung Tau will feature 171 suites and apartments with plenty of natural light and ocean views, a rooftop infinity pool, onsite spa, and that unique slide concept, the Vietnam Economic Times reported.
“At Fusion, we like to do things differently,” Fusion company founder and CEO Marco Van Aggele said.
“We want to give our guests an experience like they’ve never had before, from the moment they arrive to the moment they leave. You can use elevators to go up and down, sure, and Fusion Suites Vung Tau will have those too of course - but it’s much more fun to use a slide, right? And that, for us, is what vacations are all about.”
Located in popular seaside resort town, Vung Tau, near Ho Chi Minh City, the new hotel hopes to appeal to local and international families, couples, or groups of friends.
“We hope Fusion Suites Vung Tau will be embraced by Vietnamese and international travelers in search of original and contemporary design, a healthy and balanced lifestyle, and a fresh approach to hospitality,” said Remco De Hoog, chief designer at Fusion, which now boasts six properties within Vietnam.
“We want our guests to vacation like they mean it,” added Mr. Van Aggele. “Fueled by original ideas, our teams of in-house designers and wellness-inspired hoteliers present a feeling of true openness in a sensible and logical way.”
The new resort is expected to open during Q3 of 2019.
Vung Tau welcomes over 15 million international and domestic travelers each year.
