Thailand looks for MICE boost from Australia

TCEB is keen to raise Thailand's profile as a meetings and incentive destination among Aussies.

Thailand has set its sights firmly on the Australian business events and incentive industry with the re-launch of its in-market presence for the first time in five years.

Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau (TCEB) has appointed Clockwise Consulting – the brainchild of highly respected and experienced hospitality and tourism duo, Nicole Tingey and Jakki Temple-Govan, to represent its interests in Australia.

Whilst the South-East Asian country is a firm favourite as a holiday destination for Australians, TCEB is keen to increase its profile as a meetings and incentive destination for Australian businesses and organisations seeking a highly efficient, uniquely memorable and cost effective option for their next event.

“We’re thrilled to be representing the Thailand Convention & Exhibition Bureau in Australia.  Between Jakki and me, we have a combined 40 years’ experience in hospitality, marketing, sales, events and tourism having worked in several Australian cities, with a number of national and multinational organisations.  Our experience has enabled us to work alongside countless event managers on literally hundreds of events, we’re able to understand their needs, goals and objectives when it comes to taking one of the first steps in planning a business or incentive event – selecting a perfect destination” said Clockwise Consulting director Nicole Tingey.
