Travel agents were encouraged to ‘See Europe Differently’ at a glittering function organised by the Entire Travel Group this week.
Traveltalk joined more than 100 agents attending the exclusive event at View By Sydney in the shadow of the Harbour Bridge.
Those present had the chance to learn more about various European destinations, including Switzerland, Monaco, Spain & Portugal, Italy and France, along with supplier presentations from Rail Europe, Le Boat and Barge Travel Connection.
Agents also enjoyed a two-course dinner while listening to presentations from ETG staff before competing in an interactive quiz to win prizes.
Brad McDonnell, CEO of the Entire Travel Group, said the evening was a learning opportunity, a thank-you to agents and also a chance to meet the team at ETG.
“Some of you have maybe used us for some of our brands over the years. By the end of the night the idea is that you are going to use us for all of our brands,” he said.
“We’re not trying to be all things to all people. We’re trying to be the best specialists for the destinations that we sell.
“We spend a lot of time working with our partners, creating strong relationships with our suppliers. That’s where we fit in.”
Mr McDonnell added that the company was investing considerable time and money in sending staff to sample destinations first-hand so they could better inform and educate agents about the products available.
“If we can give you great product and back it up with great staff, advice and service to get you the sale from your customer by giving them something different and exciting, then ultimately we’re going to make you look good.
“We’re here to listen, we’re here to help and we’re here to make you better in terms of sales with clients.”
