After hitting our virtual marketplaces earlier this year,Amazon Australia has released its newest service - and this time, it’s focusing squarely on travel.
Yes, with travel booming, it was only a matter before the online retail giant seriously took on travel products, and with its new “The Travel Store” now here, it’s done so big time.
Featuring over half a million travel products across more than 40 international and local brands, The Travel Store has arrived, conveniently and cleverly, just in time for the Australian spring and summer months.
Among the products on offer are luggage brands Qantas, Antler and Samsonite, as well as clothing retailers Kathmandu and The North Face. Throw in items from Disney and Rip Curl, and the whole family seems covered.
Amazon says its new service will “simplify pre-take off preparation for busy travellers”, with “curated lists of essential travel items housed in one location”.
“Whilst there is nothing better than a good holiday and many Aussies will be planning their next adventure, travelling can be stressful, whether its packing for a large family, a long trip or a last minute business meeting,” Amazon Fashion head Angela Langmann said.
“At Amazon we want to make shopping for travel essentials as seamless and easy as possible and we hope to do just that for a nation of travel fanatics.”
Citing recent data, Amazon Australia says over 2.3 million Aussies expect to travel by the end of the year, while domestic travel is growing 14% year-on-year.
