That pretty much everything is more expensive in Australia should really not be a great shock to any of us who live here. Sure there are some who can own a house AND eat smashed avo, but for many, the little things add up to a lot of two-minute noodle dinners.
According to a recent study by a UK retailer, if you consider the price of cocktails in a downtown club, a taxi ride to and from said club, a new outfit, a visit to the hairdresser and a night in a hotel, the USA is the most expensive city for a night on the town.
A close second is Australia (if they included the cost of a dinner, I’m sure we’d top the list).
The cheapest country for a night out is Thailand, with Czechia offering the cheapest hotel room and Brazil is the cheapest country for a taxi is Brazil.
