Corporate travel is big business. And with work-related travel growing as a motivational tool and incentive for employees, it’s only getting bigger.
But what does that mean for those that make business travel happen?
According to travel industry recruitment firm, TMS Talent, it means “well paid” roles with “salaries that have remained competitive and consistent”.
And for those candidates that come with specialist skills, top salaries in the corporate sector await.
TMS’s recently released Travel Salary Guide (NSW AND VIC) shows that the average corporate travel consultant role attracts a salary of $57,800, with a senior consultant earning $69,500 and a team leader $80,000.
Management salaries within the corporate travel sector average between $80,000 and $107,500.
TMS corporate travel recruitment consultants have also seen “continued demand for experienced corporate travel consultants with a willingness to take on extra responsibilities, such as after hours work or have specialist skills like manual ticketing”.
By upping base salaries by $5000 to $10,000, employers are also attracting better quality and more experienced candidates, saving in the long term through increased employee retention.
