Traditional recipes have made a long journey on the Taste of Afghanistan, Syria and Persia. This cultural tour takes you through the dishes brought to Australia by our newest refugee communities. Hear the stories of the talented refugee guides, chefs and business owners. Indulge in delicious hearty dishes like Afghan bread and dumplings, Syrian breakfast, Persian treats, sweets and ice-cream and spiced teas.
Crooked Compass is partnering to operate the tours with a local social enterprise who provides training to Australian migrants, refugees and local youth to offer work opportunities and promote cross-cultural understanding.
