Railway fares across France have now been released through Rail Online, allowing rugby fans journeying to France for the upcoming Rugby World Cup to book their travel throughout the country as they follow their side to the Webb-Ellis Cup.
Fares for travel until 8 November are now available, with the tournament running from 8 September to 28 October, with 20 national teams including Australia and New Zealand to try and wrangle the trophy away from reigning champions South Africa.
The opening match and the final will both take place in Paris, with eight other cities - Marseille, Lyon, Lille, Bordeaux, Saint-Étienne, Nice, Nantes and Toulouse – also hosting matches.
Australia’s Wallabies will take on Georgia in Paris before travelling to Lyon for a clash with Wales before concluding the group stage in Saint-Étienne with matches against Fiji and Portugal.
Rail Online General Manager Australia and New Zealand Kirsty Blows said agents should move quickly to secure seats for their rugby-mad clients.
"Tickets for travel on French trains have historically only been made available 90 days prior to travel, so the earlier release this year provides a great opportunity for agents to complete customers' travel arrangements ahead of schedule,” Blows said.
Tickets for Eurostar services to the United Kingdom are also expected to sell quickly around this time and are also available now.
