You may have thought luxury travel was already highly personalized, but a new study has revealed that it’s about to get a whole lot more intimate.
The new Virtuoso Luxe Report predicts that 2019 will be a year of ultra-personalized experiences for Australian luxury travellers, with five key trends driving the move towards more exclusivity.
Virtuoso breaks down the trends into:
Other desires include specific seat numbers on planes and hotel room numbers, exact tables at high-end restaurants with pre-arranged meals and wine, and appointments with hairdressers, massage therapists and even tattoo artists.
When it comes to luxury destinations, Italy maintains its place at the top of the list, while Japan continues to dominate among ‘emerging’ destinations.
Multigenerational travel is still the biggest trend among Australian travellers, with luxury cruising rising to second place.
The Luxe Travel Report (Australia) took into account the opinions of travel agencies and advisors across 82 locations in Australia.
