The South Pacific Tourism Organization (SPTO) is bringing together leading experts to highlight global best practices in reopening and recovery strategies for island destinations across the Pacific.
The webinar will combine insights from around the world to define the essential steps that Pacific destinations will need to safely and profitably reopen their visitor economies.
Its panel of speakers includes Jessie McComb from the World Bank sharing their extensive work on the impact and response to COVID-19 in developing nations around the world.
Guests will also hear from Halatoa Fua, CEO of Cook Islands for an update on plans to reopen travel from New Zealand and James Goodwin, Australian Airports Association CEO outlining the key points as to how Australian Airports plan to reopen travel between Australia and New Zealand – a model that offers a possible framework for a number of South Pacific destinations.
Finally, Chris Adams of Miles Partnership and Matthew Findlay of Ailevon Pacific Aviation Consulting will summarise the latest insights and lessons from island and/or tourism dependent destinations from the Caribbean, Iceland and Europe in their reopening and recovery strategies.
This webinar is hosted by the SPTO and facilitated by Miles Partnership - a global tourism marketing and education agency, and Ailevon Pacific Aviation Consulting a leading air service route development and aviation consulting firm.
