Steven Spivak, Vice President of Global Sales and Reservations is visiting Australia this week.
Australia is Tauck's second largest market (after US), they have been operational here for 40 years.
Traveltalk caught up with him and Tauck Managing Director Australia, David Clark, in Nel Restaurant where he shared the Tauck values with us:
“Don't settle for ordinary, allow your guests to travel with peace of mind, letting them leave their worries at home, and make sure that they travelled in good company, in the company of tour directors who care about what they do, who are impassioned by their purpose of sharing these incredible destinations with people and providing exceptional service.”
“Integrity means doing things that are not easy to do. The things that are sometimes costly to do. But because they're the right thing when you're taking care of people, you do them anyway.
"It's not nickel and diming them. It's not telling them it's all inclusive and then giving them a bill at the end. It's treating them as you would want to be treated with trust.”
“Back in 1925, an 18 year old man had an idea that if people could be taken outside of the every day, out of the ordinary to those places that they would never experience on their own and see the scenic wonders of the mountains of New England.Dine in restaurants where the innkeepers welcomed you by name. stay in hotels where you felt like you were home but better, that people's lives would be forever changed.
And still to this day. That is our purpose to enhance people's lives through travel.”
Tauck offers tours, river cruising and Tauck Bridges Family Journeys which are tours specifically designed for multigenerational families.
All inclusive small group tours are the fastest growing part of the Tauck business currently 75% of Tauck’s business is small groups of 18 – 24. In 2024, Tauck will be debuting Smaller Groups, these tours will average 14 guests per group.
