Tourism Ireland has partnered with one of Australia’s favourite chefs, Irish born Colin Fassdnige, to bring food lovers two live cooking demo events on Mondays 29 Nov and 6 Dec from 6pm AEDT.
Streaming live from his Instagram page, Colin will take viewers on a couple of mini yet nostalgic journeys to savour some of his favourite flavours of Ireland that are sure to please on any occasion. These two events aim to showcase Ireland’s modern food+drink offering as well as some of the incredible gourmet paddock-to-plate experiences to be had around the island.
On Monday 29 Nov, Colin will prepare a whole baby snapper with chorizo, tomato and peppers; accompanied by a raw beetroot salad with horseradish and potato mayonnaise and a green sauce.
The following week, viewers will learn to make his version of a mouth-watering porchetta recipe accompanied by a refreshing watermelon, fennel and pea salad.
Finally, viewers tuning in and/or cooking along with Colin will also get a chance to win a food hamper and a personalised signed copy of his latest cookbook ‘The Commonsense Cook’.
