NCL celebrates most successful charity initiative ever

There will be plenty of aching limbs in the office on Monday as the curtain comes down on the most successful Walk for Wellness initiative yet.

NCL’s fourth annual event was widely supported by those in the travel industry and beyond.

For the final challenge, participants were asked to snap a photo of something that has entertained them on one of their walks or to create their own entertainment and capture it.

First prize went to Jess Chambers from Travel Managers who scooped up a House of Marley eco-friendly Bluetooth speaker.

“What a month! I've loved this challenge so much, I got myself a smart watch, started tracking my steps and got out of the house every day. My husband and I decided to do Oct-Sober as well, so it’s really been a month of health,” she said.

“My entertainment was my daughter using our dogs as her sled dogs to get her up the hill after one of our walks.

“As I couldn't upload just the video, I decided to make a TikTok to highlight my month of wellness, including some entertainment from myself while I was getting into the Zumba class!! I hope everyone has had as much fun as I have.”

There were two ‘Surprise and Delight’ challenges for the final week of Walk for Wellness.

Week 4 Surprise & Delight winners included more than 100 travel agents who took the ‘sea-nic route’ to boost their daily steps to 15,000 and over, winning themselves Partners First Rewards points.

The final and most spooky Surprise & Delight challenge asked participants to snap a photo in their Halloween costume. The two winners with the most wicked outfits won 2x cinema gift vouchers.
