“Trump says it’s okay”: plane groper’s defence

“I’m automatically attracted to beautiful women — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait. And when you’re a star, they let you do it. You can do anything….Grab them by the pussy. You can do anything.”

Donald Trump.

In 2005, on his way to film an episode of Access Hollywood Donald Trump described his attempt to seduce a married woman and suggested he might start kissing a woman that he was about to meet.

The recording was made public during the 2016 United States presidential election and after Trump won, Sue from Arizona recalls having to explicitly tell her eight year old daughter to not believe the president, that “he wasn’t a good person then”.

“But the damage was done,” she told Traveltalk.

“We have always wanted our daughter to believe she can aspire to be anything, and of course, told her she could be president one day, but when the president has been recorded endorsing sexual assault...well, we’re looking elsewhere for inspiration.”

Now more than ever, words of leaders matter.

So when Tampa man Bruce Michael Alexander was charged for abusive sexual contact after allegedly groping a woman on a flight, it is little wonder he invoked the Trump defence.

A woman, identified in court documents as CW, dozed off on her flight from Houston to Albuquerque on Sunday when she felt a hand touching the right side of her breast, the Washington Post reported.

Initially, believing the touch to be accidental, the woman ignored it. But some thirty minutes later it happened again.

According to a criminal complaint, “CW felt fingers slowly grab the back of her arm, squeezing above the elbow,”. Then, “slowly and ‘attentively,’ ” the hand groped her right side“ at and around her ribs and ‘bra line.’ ”

It was at this point that the woman got up to confront the passenger seated in the window seat behind her, saying that “she didn’t know why he thought it was ok [to touch her] and he needed to stop.”

The woman requested to be moved and cabin crew relocated her to the back of the plane for the duration of the journey.

Alexander was arrested by the FBI at Albuquerque International Sunport and was being transported by authorities when he said that ‘the president of the United States says it’s OK to grab women by their private parts.”

But if you think Trump care about all the media attention Alexander is throwing his way, here’s another little quote, “You know, it really doesn’t matter what the media write as long as you’ve got a young, and beautiful, piece of ass.”
