What the Sagrada Familia will look like when it’s done

After all, it’s only been over a century in the making

Its original architect, the famed Antoni Gaudi, was killed in 1926. A fire in its crypt destroyed all his plans, sketches and models in 1936 and now its current architect, Jordi Fauli, says it will finally be completed by 2026.

Even in its incomplete state the Sagrada Familia is a sight to behold. Started in 1882, Barcelona’s renowned basilica has had nine architects working on what has seemed to be a never-ending project. But the end is finally in sight.

Despite only being 65 percent complete, Mr Fauli is confident Sagrada Familia will be completed in just 13 years.
