Some flights have snacks and, now, some snacks have flights. Or at least they do in France, where budget carrier Transavia Airlines is offering cheap flights with packets of chips, gummy bears and muesli bars in participating grocery stores, vending machines and even a cinema.
Customers simply have to buy the product to redeem their flight deal via a voucher code and they can book one-way flights to Barcelona (€35), Dublin (€40) or Lisbon (€40) with guaranteed prices, for travel between June 1 and October 24, the Daily Mail reported.
The low-cost subsidiary of Air France-KLM has a bit of a reputation for quirky gimmicks such as these, having previously offered discounted airline tickets in exchange for unwanted Christmas gifts.
