Cheap seats already gone on QF’s newly announced flights

Put December 18 in your diary. But make sure you use pencil. That is the date Qantas expects to travel from Melbourne and Sydney to London, Los Angeles, Vancouver and Singapore.

On December 19, folk from Brisbane can book to fly to Singapore and Los Angeles, while Melburnians and Sydneysiders can book to go to Tokyo and Fiji, the Australian reported.

December 20, there’s a flight from Sydney to Honolulu. Pre-Chrissy New Zealand flights are also on the books.

But while seats look to still be available on these flights, the cheapest seats have already been snapped up, which means eager beavers are looking at spending between $1600 and $2300 one way for London and LA services, and slightly less for the return journeys.

Before you start packing, the flights will depend on the federal government lifting the ban on overseas travel which currently holds until December 17.

According to the Australian, should all go well, Qantas expects to add Hong Kong to its destination list from February, followed by Bali, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines and Johannesburg from April.
