From the moment I stepped into the airport, my business class experience with Garuda Indonesia was a delight.

With priority access, check-in was a breeze, swiftly guiding me through security and immigration—perfect for a night flight. The Garuda lounge exuded a sense of tranquility, and comfort, where I relished a delectable teriyaki chicken with Chinese rice, accompanied by a delightful selection of Australian wines to get me in the mood for home.

The boarding process was punctual, and while the A330-300 was an older aircraft, it was impeccably clean and thoughtfully equipped.

Business class on Garuda's A330 features lie-flat seats in a 1-2-1 configuration across the cabin.

My seat was equipped with amenities, including phone charging capabilities, an excellent movie selection, and a glass of champagne to help me wind down for my journey. Most importantly, the seat allowed me to recline completely flat, ensuring a comfortable and restful sleep throughout the red-eye overnight flight.

A thoughtful amenities bag with essentials like a mask, socks, earplugs, comb, toothbrush, and toothpaste awaited me, along with noise-cancelling headphones and a refreshing bottle of water.

The cabin's 1-2-1 configuration and the cantilevered seats facing toward either the window or the aisle heightened the level of privacy available, while the warm and welcoming onboard staff made me feel right at home.

As I boarded, a wonderfully dressed attendant half my size eagerly assisted me with placing my bag in the overhead locker. Her impeccable service continued with a glass of bubbles and an infectious smile. The attentiveness of the staff was impressive. I was offered another drink after take-off, which I declined in favour of sleep.

My seat offered plenty of amenities to make the journey more comfortable.

With the luxurious velvety quilted blanket, I snuggled up and reclined slightly, entering a peaceful slumber. The late-night meal options were a choice between nachos, beef wrap, or fruit—I couldn't resist the nachos, and they turned out to be a fantastic pairing with the champagne.

The in-flight entertainment offered a classic Michael Caine movie, which entertained me for a short while before I surrendered to the comfort of my flat position and enjoyed a blissful three-hour nap. I skipped breakfast and woke up just in time for a smooth and timely landing.

A friendly flight attendant offered me a cup of English breakfast tea with a cheery good morning—her warmth and attentiveness made my flight experience all the more enjoyable.

Choosing the Garuda Indonesia night flight was a brilliant decision as it granted me an extra day to explore beautiful Bali. The business class service was impeccable, and I thoroughly appreciated the top-notch experience throughout the journey.

The Garuda lounge at Denpasar Airport was a lovely spot to while away the time before boarding.
