Flyer’s nose ‘bitten off’ during flight

Bloody brawl mars Ryanair service

A comment over a woman’s bare feet ended in a bloody brawl on a recent Ryanair flight.

The fight, which occurred on a service from Glasgow to Tenerife, left blood spattered across the cabin and some very scared passengers.

According to The Independent, passenger Ben Wardop said the row started over a disagreement about a woman not wearing shoes on the 6.30am flight.

“A very drunk man pulled her up about it, saying that someone would stand on her toes, then the woman’s boyfriend stepped in and tried to defuse the situation” said Mr Wardrop, who filmed the incident and uploaded it onto social media.

“Once the plane landed and more alcohol was consumed the man and the woman’s boyfriend started arguing, both being very drunk they started to fight, and the man in the video with lots of blood was trying to get the man to calm down and he got hit on the nose.”

According to some reports, one of the men allegedly had his nose “bitten off” in the incident.

“There was a family with a young boy sitting in front of us that witnessed all of the action,” Wardop said.

“It was a very scary moment as it was very confined and lots of innocent people got involved due to the small space on the plane.”

Wardop was also full of praise for staff on board the flight, including a young woman who tried to defuse the situation.

“Ryanair’s staff handled the situation very well,” he added.

In a statement the airline said the matter was now in the hands of local police, who detained the two passengers.

“We will not tolerate unruly or disruptive behaviour at any time and the safety and comfort of our customers, crew and aircraft is our number one priority.”
