Meet the NTIA finalists: STELLA HRITIS

If you haven’t already met Air New Zealand’s Stella Hritis, you’ll soon understand why she’s up for Best Sales Executive (Air). Her friendliness and passion are almost contagious. Find out what she loves, loathes and if you’ll find her in the aisle or window seat.

WHAT’S YOUR BEST TRAVEL TIP?

It’s not wrong, just different!! Embrace different religions, customs, opinions and take it all in.

WHAT ARE THE BEST AND WORST PARTS OF YOUR JOB?

Working in sales I love the variety my role offers – one week I could be visiting travel agents in Sydney and the next on a famil exploring a new destination! I genuinely enjoy making connections and spending time talking with people

I would have to say that the worst part of my job is Sydney traffic! It’s becoming worse and worse, especially on the way home.

IF YOU WEREN’T IN YOUR CURRENT ROLE, WHAT WOULD YOU BE DOING?

I have always wanted to work with children and own a daycare centre. It would be a very rewarding experience as you would be helping children learn and develop in their important formative years.

WHICH PLACE DO YOU THINK MORE PEOPLE NEED TO VISIT?

Argentina! It’s all amazing! The food, wine, culture, tango, architecture, festivals, nightlife, the falls, mountains…the list goes on and on. This is one of my favourite countries to explore due to its diversity and beauty.

DO YOU PREFER A WINDOW OR AISLE SEAT?

Definitely an aisle seat. I like to have the freedom of getting up whenever I want to stretch my legs or use the bathroom. But I am one of those (annoying) people that still look out the window just before landing haha!
