There have been many tests done over the least sanitary places on planes. Add touch screens to the list - especially this one.
On a recent flight, on an undisclosed airline, a man was seen operating his seat’s touch screen ... with his bare feet.
My friend who doesn’t have twitter sent this from her flight. It belongs on Twitter. pic.twitter.com/qG6d54V5Dd— Alafair Burke (@alafairburke) July 15, 2019
Caught on video, the man is seated in the first row of what appears to be an economy class cabin.
New York-based author Alafair Burke shared the footage, which was taken by a friend, on Twitter, where it subsequently received over 24,000 retweets and 117,000 likes in less than 24 hours.
"My friend who doesn’t have twitter sent this from her flight. It belongs on Twitter," she wrote in her caption.
Needless to say, the incident provoked many scathing comments.
"This is the most disturbing thing I’ve seen on twitter," one user wrote.
Another raised the implications for hygiene, saying, “People in first class look at me crazy for wiping down everything. This is exactly why. Yuck.".
In a follow-up tweet, Ms Burke wrote that the photographer “saw him walk on and off the plane, carrying his own bag”, disproving the theory that the man may have had a mobility issue. He only had a laziness issue, apparently.
