As ANA’s recently launched Star Wars-themed plane tours the world, Canadian low cost carrier WestJet has unveiled its new Frozen-themed plane as part of another partnership with Disney.
Unveiled in a Toronto hangar over the weekend, the mostly blue Frozen plane features Princesses Anna and Elsa working some snow magic on the tail, and snowman Olaf lying under an umbrella on the beach at the front of the plane.
Inside, Frozen images appear on the overhead bins, bulkheads, headrests and even lavatory mirrors.
The aircraft joins Westjet's "Magic Plane" featuring Sorcerer Mickey, launched two years ago.
“To see our vision come to life is so exciting, as we collaborated on this project for over a year. Only a very small group of us (WestJetters and Disney Artists and Cast Members) knew and we had to keep our secret under wraps… or should I say, on ice,” said Marlie Morrison, Managing Director, The Walt Disney Company (Canada) Ltd, Parks & Resorts.
“It's a truly unique and unforgettable design that Disney Fans and WestJet guests alike will enjoy for years to come.”
WestJet plans to launch flights to Europe using four wide-body Boeing 767-300 aircraft it received in August.
