Tourism NZ launches virtual travel expo for Aussie agents

Following the opening of quarantine-free travel, Tourism New Zealand presents its first Virtual Travel Expo '21 to help travel agents effortlessly sell the destination.

The free event will see over 300 operators and accommodation providers join forces to encourage Australian travel agents to keep New Zealand top of mind in a competitive market.

Close to 25 Regional Tourism Operators (RTOs) will host virtual breakout sessions to equip agents with the up-to-date products, resources, contacts, and information they need to sell New Zealand. Attendees will have access to the latest videos, insights, product manuals and presentations that highlight the very best of New Zealand.

Sandra Etter Head of Trade Tourism New Zealand, Australia said, “Quarantine-free travel has reignited Australians’ passion to explore new international experiences. Our research shows 98% of Australian travellers are in favour of the trans-Tasman travel zone and 60% are hoping to travel in the next six months.

“We have created a free virtual expo for the travel industry to arm them with the most relevant and up-to-date information to successfully engage with their customers. 79% of agents are most engaged by content focussed on what is new in the market”.
