THE FOURTH ship in Celebrity Cruises’ Edge Series has officially touched water for the first time.
Celebrity Ascent was floated out from a French shipyard before entering the next phase of her construction.
Debuting in December, Ascent will be the twin sister to Celebrity Beyond, which debuted last year.
So much more than a ship, Celebrity Ascent will be the embodiment of a relaxed luxury resort at sea and I can’t imagine a more exciting way to start the new year than by celebrating this important construction milestone, said Lisa Lutoff-Perlo, Celebrity Cruises President and CEO.
Among her many onboard attractions, the ship will feature more than 30 distinct food and drink venues, including the high-tech, immersive Le Petit Chef Dinner Experience, the Eden Restaurant offering its three-storey floor-to-ceiling windows, and Le Voyage by Daniel Boulud.
