Club Med has revealed the latest addition to its Exclusive Collection portfolio with plans to open the company’s first resort in the Middle East.

Set to be unveiled in 2028, the development of Club Med Musandam marks a significant investment milestone, surpassing the $100 million mark.

The 300-room resort will carry a strong flavour of Oman, with its interiors, entertainment, food and beverage inspired by the location, climate and cultures of the region.

Sports and activities are set to include tennis, padel, archery, scuba diving, snorkelling, sailing and kayaking. Other facilities will include a spa, fitness centre, a yoga school and an adult-only Zen pool.

A ground-breaking development as a result of a collaborative partnership between Club Med, Royal Court Affairs and Omran Group, the all-inclusive resort is set to make significant contributions to the Oman region, creating job opportunities for locals and opportunities in sustainable growth.

More than 400 direct jobs and an additional 800 indirect jobs will be generated by Club Med Musandam, invigorating the local economy and empowering individuals and families with work opportunities. Throughout its development, the project will employ around 1,000 employees in multiple phases.

“We are very excited to announce the addition of Club Med Musandam to our Exclusive Collection Portfolio, the first ever Club Med resort in its region,” said Michelle Davies, General Manager for Club Med Pacific.

“Contributing to the development of the local communities in which our resorts are located is an integral part of our ethos. We look forward to continuing this ambition in Oman.”

The Heritage and Tourism Board of Oman wants to attract 11 million tourists by 2024 to boost the inflow of international tourist to the Sultanate.
