Scoot, the low-cost subsidiary of Singapore Airlines (SIA) has welcomed its first Embraer E190-E2 aircraft at Singapore Changi Airport.

The first E190-E2 aircraft was handed over to Scoot at Embraer’s production facility in São José dos Campos Brazil on 11 April 2024. The aircraft departed from Brazil on 12 April 2024, and made several fuel stops before it was greeted with a water cannon salute upon arrival in Singapore this afternoon.

“We are excited to receive our first E190-E2 aircraft in Singapore today. This milestone marks the start of a new chapter for Scoot and it is made possible with the hard work of our staff and support of our valued partners including Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore (CAAS), Changi Airport Group (CAG), Embraer and SIA Engineering Company (SIAEC) who have worked closely with us over the past year to ensure that the E190-E2 aircraft are ready for entry into service. We look forward to welcoming our customers on board our new aircraft soon.” said, Mr. Leslie Thng, Chief Executive Officer, Scoot.
