South African Airways (SAA) has appointed Michael Hall as Country Manager, Australia & New Zealand effective 1 March 2024.
Michael has spent the last 36 years with The Walshe Group having worked and had worked with SAA over many years of his tenure.
Since 2016, Michael was SAA’s National Sales Manager, Australia.
As Country Manager, his appointment comes at a crucial time for SAA with the return of SAA’s flights between Johannesburg and Perth, the first flight arriving into Australia on 29 April 2024.
SAA’s recently announced operations to Perth are in line with the airline’s strategy to expand the network sustainably offering a wider choice of destinations, and greater connectivity for their customers.
As a key strategic partner, The Walshe Group remains the representative for SAA in Australia and New Zealand.
2024 also marks South African Airways’ 90th birthday, making them the oldest airline on the African continent.
