The design of Six Senses Kyoto was inspired by the Heian period (794-1185), when Heian-kyo (now Kyoto) was the capital. It infuses elements of traditional arts and folklore with a playful twist to craft a distinctive and refined atmosphere.

The hotel offers 81 guest rooms and suites, including the Premier Suite Garden with a private Japanese courtyard, and the 238-square-metre, three-bedroom Penthouse Suite.

The Alchemy Bar offers interactive workshops for guests to create natural facial care and beauty items, made with natural ingredients and herbs harvested from the hotel’s garden.

Sekki takes guests on a culinary journey through the 24 micro-seasons of the ancient Japanese calendar; guided by the ‘Eat With Six Senses’ ethos, the veg-forward menu lineup celebrates carefully sourced local and sustainable ingredients.

Guests can begin their journey with a signature Wellness Screening, which analyses key health biomarkers in minutes, allowing Wellness Practitioners to make personalised recommendations tailored to individual needs and goals.
