Virgin Atlantic is enhancing benefits for its Flying Club Red Tier, in a move designed to ensure every customer gets the very best experience and the airline’s loyalty programme is as rewarding as possible for all members.

Flying Club Red members will receive a new boarding benefit, which will allow them to board their flights ahead of other customers travelling in Economy Classic and Economy Light. The new boarding benefit is available from today, across any Virgin Atlantic operated service throughout its global network.

Virgin Atlantic boarding priority commences with customers who need a little more assistance, including those with young children. Priority boarding is then given to Upper Class and Gold Card members, followed by Premium then Economy Delight. Virgin Atlantic Red members will now be able to board from this point, ahead of the remaining customers in the Economy cabin.

Any passenger travelling with Virgin Atlantic can join Flying Club for free, unlocking a world of rewards and benefits across its three tiers. Red members have the opportunity to earn Virgin Points whenever they fly with Virgin Atlantic or partner airlines, which include Delta, Air France and KLM plus the SkyTeam network. Virgin Points can be spent on little luxuries such as cinema tickets, to lucrative travel benefits including flights and cabin upgrades.

Alongside Virgin Points, Flying Club Red members will also earn Tier Points whenever they travel with Virgin Atlantic or its partners, allowing members to rise through the ranks to achieve Silver and Gold status. Both Silver and Gold status offer a collection of luxurious touches, including dedicated Premium or Upper Class check in, priority boarding and anytime seat assignment. Gold Card members also enjoy access to Virgin Atlantic and Delta’s range of global lounges, every time they fly, no matter which cabin they travel in.

“We are constantly enhancing our Flying Club programme so that our members receive the very best of Virgin Atlantic,” Anthony Woodman, Vice President Flying Club & CRM, Virgin Atlantic, said.

“Our Red Tier members already receive access to a world of earning and spending opportunities for their Virgin Points, and now our new boarding benefit provides an extra sweetener to the beginning of their journeys with us.”
